Private Tutoring Session (60 minute sessions)

NOW is the PERFECT time for your scholar to get ahead. We work with students in grades k - 8th. Students will start with a diagnostic test to determine what they need help with. We will create a plan of action to help meet their goals. Private Sessions are private sessions twice per week. You may choose Math for one session and Reading/Comp for one session or one for both days. Sessions can be held in the center or virtual.

Tutoring is an essential tool for success.

We tutor students that are striving to get ahead, need help with homework, or want to enhance a skill.

We work with students in grades k - 10th grade, specializing in Reading, Writing, and Math. We also work with high school students to prep for the ACT and SAT

We offer a unique approach to tutoring, taking students from "I can't" to "I can!"

Reading | Phonics| Writing

Our ultimate goal is for your child to develop a love for reading and writing.

Our approach is direct, explicit, multisensory, and prescriptive. Our tutors will start with finding out the child's TRUE academic level and build from there.

Reading doesn't have to be difficult and with us it won't be!

Math

Children are not born HATING Math. Along the way, they may have missed a step, causing them to not understand the next concept completely. In this case, children can lose confidence and our goal is to help them gain it back.

All students will have a diagnostic test to see where their true academic levels lie.

Private Tutoring Sessions

Our Academic Coaches are in place to provide students with strategies and the individualized attention that they need. We specialize in tutoring students in K-10th grade in Math, ELA, Writing, and Reading Comprehension.
During our consultation, we will discuss your students' progress reports, strengths, and challenge areas. Once you decide our tutors are a good fit, we will have the student take an assessment. The assessment will allow us to see where the child needs help.

We will take the assessment and the child's progress report and create a tailored plan. As we get to know the students, we also learn their learning styles.

Each private session is 60 minutes.

We offer tutoring services in center and virtually.

Diagnostic/Assessment: Each student will take a diagnostic test in their first session. This allows us to see where the student's true academic levels lie. It will allow us to see missed concepts that the student needs help with. This will also help us to create a Plan of Action for your child.

Tutoring Options: We can tutor your child 1 of 3 ways.

1.) Assisting your child with their home/class work. We will work with the child's teacher per parents' permission to see what the child needs help with.

2.) Academic Challenges. Maybe your child has fallen academically behind in an area. We will use the diagnostic test and create a Plan of Action to get them ahead.

3.) Tutoring Ahead. We will work with students that are doing fairly well in class but want to take that "B average" to an "A average". Or maybe your child wants to transition to Honors Classes.

TEST PREPARATION

We are here to help your student master their goal for the Act and/or SAT. We want to help each student get accepted into the college of their dreams. One way that we can assist, is by preparing them for the ACT and/or SAT.

It does not matter if you've taken the test already or this is your first time. We are here to help you.

This style of tutoring still allows students to receive individualized attention. We follow the I do, We do, You do strategy, which allows us to see if the child is grasping concepts and strategies.

We recommend working with students for 6-8 weeks, depending on the subjects they need help with.

Tuition: $550 for 6 weeks of sessions (2 sessions per wk)

Registration Fee: $50 for each student

Get ready for testing

(Group Tutoring)

Our online group tutoring/test prep sessions start on April 16, 2024. We will have small group tutoring sessions for Second-Fifth grade. We will work with students for 5 weeks to prepare for testing.

Tuesdays will be dedicated to Writing /Reading & Comprehension. There will be a LIVE instructor teaching and going over common concepts that students will see on their end of the year testing.

Thursdays will be dedicated to Math. There will be a LIVE instructor teaching and reviewing common concepts that students will see on their end of year testing.

We will be working on the I do, We do, You do method.

I do : 20 minutes of teaching strategies.
We do: 20 minutes of going over the strategies together
You do: 20 minutes to ensure that each student understands the strategy.

Parents will have a chance to submit any Math or Reading problems their student is finding challenging for us to review. Most likely there's another student that has similar challenges.

We will be working together in small groups with our cameras on. Our sessions will resemble face-to-face interaction. Each session will be filled with fun strategies students can use in the classroom and games for understanding.

Location: Remote Learning Lab/Virtual/Zoom

Tuition: $55 per week

Duration: Each session is 1 hr each day

Time Frames:

4:00pm - 5:00 pm (2nd-3rd grade)
5:05 pm - 6:05 pm (4th -5th grade)

Someone will reach out to you by phone, to welcome you. This is also a time when we can answer all of your questions. We will also confirm your students official start date and time.

How long is Private Tutoring Sessions?

Private Tutoring Sessions are 60 minutes per session. You can schedule as many sessions as you would like.

Do you offer in center and virtual?

Yes! Our center is located at 76 Highland Pavilion Ct STE 153 Hiram GA 30141. We offer virtual sessions via Zoom allowing students to still interact on the white board as if they were in person.

Will my child be given a diagnostic assessment prior to tutoring?

Students that receive private tutoring sessions will be assessed. The assessment is to determine the students' true academic levels. This will have us create a plan of action. We will work with the student on missed concepts to get ahead.

Commitment and Consistency

It will take time and consistency to achieve a child's goals. Therefore, your commitment and the commitment of your child is essential to their success. We highly recommend a consistent routine in and outside of tutoring. Missing and constantly rescheduling sessions may be detrimental to your student's academic growth.

We ask that you commit to at least 3 months to see progress.

Attendance Policy

There is a 15 minute arrival grace period. If the student arrives late (within 15 minutes), the student will be able to finish the session. There will be no additional time allowed. There will also be no discounts given. Any sessions that need to be rescheduled must be done a week in advance.
