S.T.E.A.M Theme for December
Holidays Around the World
Science:
- Snow Globes: this project involves understanding liquids, density, and the mixing of materials. Kids will explore the concept of precipitation and how snow forms in nature.
- Crystal ornaments: focuses on crystalization processes and the conditions that promotes crystal growth, teaching concepts of supersaturation and temperature effects.
Technology:
- Coding Christmas Cards: introduces basic programming concepts using platforms like scratch, helping children learn how to create interactive digital content.
- 3D printing ornaments: engages children with design software and 3d printing technology.
Engineering:
- Gingerbread house: encourages problem-solving and structural design as children consider how to build stable structures and the materials needed for construction.
- Christmas light circuit: Introduce basic electrical engineering concepts by building circuits, teaching children about conductivity and the flow of electricity.
Arts:
- Holidays Around The World: we study holidays around the world. We will study and create art and music in other countries and cultures.
Math:
- Holiday Advent Calendar: incorporates math skills through puzzles and challenges. We will be reinforcing concepts like addition, subtraction, and problem-solving.
- Budgeting for gifts: We will provide practical applications of math through budgeting, teaching children about addition, subtraction, percentages, and financial literacy.

The S.T.E.A.M Academic Club was created with the parents and the students in mind. Of course, the student wants to have fun and parents want them to learn, of course. We will be reviewing some major concepts of each grade level, helping students with homework, and engaging in STEAM activities.
*** Please note that this is not an actual school session or a private tutoring session. We will incorporate learning, small group sessions, and homework help.***
S.T.E.A.M provides students with an exciting approach to education. Students will have the opportunity to work with their Club Coach to expand their knowledge through hands-on learning and discovery in the afternoon.
In addition to enrichment learning, the STEAM Academic Club will provide snacks for students each day.

- K - 5th grade (6th grade is welcomed)
Do you help with homework?
- Yes, our primary focus is to assist with homework, but please note that if the concept hasn't been mastered per their traditional class, they may not finish all of their work.
Do you offer transportation?
- Yes, we do for certain schools.
Is there any private tutoring involved with after school?
- No, this is NOT private tutoring. However, we work with kids in small groups, and they all receive individualized attention.
Are you open on Digital Learning days?
- We will have a camp available for digital learning days, but there is an additional cost for full digital learning days.

There is a registration fee of either $50.00. This is a one-time registration fee for the School Year 2023-4

Once you've paid your registration fee, you will receive an email. The email will provide instructions to access the The STEAM Club registration forms.
Once registration is completed, your student will be enrolled into Brightwheel for payment instructions.
Step 3
Our Parent Support Team will reach out to you to welcome you and answer any questions you may have.

If we go on vacation during the year, will I still pay tuition?
You will just let us know and you will not be charged for the week. Please note that if you miss more than 1 week, spaces are limited and first come first served.
What kind of snacks does Time4Homeschool serve?
Time4Homeschool serves well-balanced snacks such as: crackers, cheese, yogurt, fruit, chips, a sandwich, apple sauce, ect. Snacks are paired with water, juice, and/or milk.
Why S.T.E.A.M? What does it do for my child?
We choose STEAM as our curriculum because we know that it caters to ALL learning styles. It promotes critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, and creativity. Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Math is embedded into a project. Students are having fun but learning at the same time.
What are some samples of STEAM Themes?
Futuristic Disney & Fairy Tale Themes
- Everyone's favorite vacation is Disney World. Lots of families have or will be visiting this summer, BUT we will be diving into some super cool facts. We will explore the history of Walt Disney and the main character Mickey Mouse.
- We are going to explore the different theme parks that Disney has to offer. While building the blue print of our own STEAM Park and mascot.
- Students will look into Fairy Tales this week as well. Can you believe that students do not know Fairy Tales? We are even recreating, and reinacting our own fairy tales inspired by the original. Now students don't know that the fairy tale that they choose will actually be centered, our there STEAM Park..... I hope that they are ready!!
- Oh, you know that Tik Tok has taken over... so we have created our Time4Homeschool Tik Tok for the students trailers!!!
Kitchen Chemistry & As Seen on YouTube
- We are continuing this week with our Disney/Fairy Tale theme. Now when you think of Disney, we think of Mickey and the gang, BUT when we get there we also see FOOD!!! There is no Disney Park without food!! So, this week we are in the kitchen!!!
- We are creating our menus, we are budgeting for our restaurant employees, we are creating recipes, and every park MUST have a food that they are known for. We will be creating our meals at the end of the week!
- Of course, we have to document this.... So yes, this will be seen on YouTube. Are you following our channel??
- Now we are not just going to wander on YouTube, we are diving into technology and the history of Youtube. Have you wondered how YoutTube has grown so much over the years!!!
- Students will begin building advertisements and commercials around their STEAM park and Food... on YouTube!!
Construction / STEAM Theme Parks
- This week it is time to see those STEAM Parks come alive. Now I know that everyone has been working hard. BUT we are bringing in a panel of judges to see whose THEME park is the best! Yes, it was a competition.
- Once our panelist deliberate and comes up with a winner, we all must create and participate in that STEAM Park construction. We are actually going to build their theme park. We are going to serve their food, wear their STEAM park colors/characters, and we will be employees at the theme park. Our last day of STEAM Camp will be the day that we can invite others to the opening of our STEAM Park.
- The STEAM Park will consist of fun, obstacles, games, the build-out / vision of the winners' park, and food!!!
Is there a Registration Fee? Why?
Yes, there is a registration fee of $25 for STEAM Club Afterschool. Registration fees are non-refundable. Fees go towards STEAM supplies for your students for the projects. This registration fee will only cover the Afterschool program registration. This fee is not the club fee.
