Welcome to the S.T.E.M Explorers Club, where young minds embark on a journey of discovery and innovation. Our club is dedicated to fostering a passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics for 8 +.
 

The S.T.E.M Explorers are for students that love science and technology. We focus on kids' creativity and allowing them to express themselves through coding, design, and digital art.

This program will promote problem-solving by engaging with technology to help develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. 

Let's talk about future activities.

Understanding technology prepares kids for future careers in various fields like engineering, science, and the arts. Students get to work together on these projects, encouraging teamwork and communication skills. 

Overall, the club is fun. 

We learn through games and hands-on projects, making technology exciting!

How it works: 

Students that join The STEM Explorers will receive a monthly STEM box with our monthly circuit. In the STEM box everything will be needed for the month. 

We will meet every Wednesday night at 7:00 pm virtually to work on our circuits together. No worries, if you can't make it to class, the live class will be saved in our STEM Explorers Lab.

Monthly S.T.E.M Circuit

For the month of January, we will be building The ultimate Bug Robot

Science: 

• Principles of motion and energy are crucial. Understanding how forces affect movement helps in designing a circuit that allows the robot to move smoothly and efficiently. 

Technology: 

• Implementing various sensors allows the bug robot to interact with its environment. Understanding how to integrate them into the circuit is essential. 

Engineering:

• Designing the electronic circuit involves connecting components like motors, sensors, and micro-controllers. This requires knowledge of circuit diagrams and how different parts interact. 
• The physical design of the robot, including its frame and how it moves, relies on engineering principles to ensure stability and functionality. This includes selecting appropriate materials for building the robot. 

Arts: 

• Aesthetic Design: The visual appeal of the bug robot can be enhanced through artistic choices, such as colors and shapes. Designing a robot that is both functioning and visually interesting involves creativity.  

Mathematics

• Calculation: Mathematics is used to calculate component values, such as resistor values in the circuit, and to ensure proper voltage and current levels are maintained.
